Dracano the bear dragon

Limited edition Cardano Dragons

Release Date
November 15, 2021

Dracano – Cardano NFT

A manual art project of hand-painted, limited edition Cardano NFT dragons by a single artist.

The concept surrounds the majestic world of dragons. Introducing those tiny little creatures inhabiting planet Yiden, from the deepest parts of the ocean to the glorious mountains of the planet. The story begins in the waters of the ocean Velave, where we can find the Water Dragons! Reises surfing the waves and a hungry Galas devouring everything it can. Likewise, amongst the coral reefs, we can distinguish the cute yet dangerous Dayas & Erikens. Moving to the deepest parts of the ocean we will find a frisky Demos and a Teko. Concluding our journey, we will meet the shy Hapal & the duo Kobit-Nemer. Most importantly, the story will take shape as we move further into the exploration of the planet Yiden.

The team consists of three members with the artist stealing the spotlight! Specifically, we have Dracano the Artist, Colveren the Project Manager and lastly Scarlet the Community Manager. It is important to note here that we have no additional information about them and that is the main drawback of this project. If only they could add a team introduction to the website or at least Discord, they would have gained a lot more credibility for sure!

Discord & Twitter

Even though the community is average, counting a little over 2k members (at the time of writing), they are all very supportive and enthuasiastic about the project. Furthermore, for its size the project has adequate activity by its members in both Twitter & Discord. Taking into account the collaboration ethics, I can almost be certain that this project will climb and linger at the top for a long time. A drawback here, is that the team makes little to no effort to increase its community with at least some giveaways.

One of the few projects that I can say that the artist did a creative and original work. Not only the artwork uses a different style than what we are used to, but it is also hand-painted (with creative apps), which makes it exceptional. It depicts baby dragons and so far the artist have given us hints that in each season they will have a different element (water, earth etc.) attached to them.

You can see some examples of the artwork below:

The website has the artistic style which I expected to see before entering. Consequently making it really interesting to explore. It is very professional and a lot of effort was put into creating it. Finally, it contains most of the information that you need to know about the project, with a small exception – that of the team.

The roadmap seems to develop as we move forward. It will have two seasons released by the end of 2021 and a creativity rejuvenation for the continuation of the project. As I can understand the project focuses mainly on its art, thus it may not have any other plans. Additionally, the roadmap is visually pleasing and contains all the necessary details.

Closing Thoughts

A project with a great community and a very pleasing artwork. Combine that with a professional website and the results are impressive. What I would like to see improved though is the addition of a team introduction and a higher effort towards increasing their community.
